Karen Cardy and 40 years of service to the 10th Bangor Boys’ Brigade

That this House congratulates Mrs Karen Cardy on her remarkable and dedicated service to the 10th Bangor Company of the Boys’ Brigade at Ballycrochan Presbyterian Church, as she steps down as Captain at the end of the current session after more than 40 years of faithful commitment to the organisation; recognises her outstanding contribution to the lives of generations of young people in Bangor, County Down, through the values and principles of the Boys’ Brigade; commends her leadership, guidance and encouragement which has helped shape the character, confidence and sense of community of countless members of the company over four decades; acknowledges the important role played by volunteers such as Mrs Cardy in supporting youth development and strengthening local communities; and wishes her well for the future while expressing sincere gratitude for her exceptional service and dedication to the 10th Bangor Boys’ Brigade and Ballycrochan Presbyterian Church.
