leave out from 'whips' to end and insert 'then such a system would soon spread to fact-finding tours by select committees and sundry other bodies and more votes would be cast by the whips than by honourable Members, which would erode the democratic process to become a travesty; and believes that if the various self-perpetuating international, self important bodies listed were wound up the money saved could be put to better use helping ordinary people, most of whom never receive an expenses paid trip to the shops let alone abroad.'.
