Motion Text

That this House welcomes the release of Mordechai Vanunu after 18 years in prison for telling the world of Israel's nuclear secrets; calls upon Israel to sign the Non-proliferation Treaty and allow UN inspectors to visit Israel's nuclear site of Dimona; recognises the huge personal costs that Mordechai Vanunu has paid for revealing this truth to the world; congratulates all those who campaigned for his release and for a nuclear-free world; and calls upon the Israeli Government to lift all the restrictions they have placed upon him so that he may now live his life as a truly free man.
