NEW CHAIR OF WIRRAL HEALTH AUTHORITY

Motion Text

That this House notes the recent appointment of Mrs Rosemary Murphy to the Chair of Wirral District Health Authority; notes that Mrs Murphy served as Conservative Party Agent to the then Mrs Lynda Chalker, defeated Conservative candidate for Wallasey at the last General Election; notes that since the Conservatives came to office, one third of all beds have been lost and one quarter of all hospitals have been closed; expresses its disgust at yet another example of Conservative sleaze as every inch of public life is being packed with Conservative Party supporters; and calls on Mrs Murphy to resign from the Chair of Wirral District Health Authority.
