NEW ZEALAND LEADER'S ULSTER LINKS

Motion Text

That this House recognises the centenary in September 2003 of the election of William Ferguson Massey as leader of the Reform Party in New Zealand; and acknowledges the fact that Massey was born in Limavady, Northern Ireland and after his emigration to his new homeland, made an outstanding contribution to life in New Zealand and across the free world at the time of the Great War as a political leader and as Prime Minister between 1912 and 1925.
