Non-essential travel during the covid-19 pandemic

Motion Text

That this House expresses its gratitude to the vast majority of people who are respecting guidelines on social distancing and non-essential travel in relation to covid-19; is however concerned about continuing reports of people travelling to rural areas to visit holiday homes and holiday lets; and urges the Government to legislate to introduce higher penalties of at least £1000 to those repeatedly breaking rules.
