Motion Text

leave out from 'House' to end and add: 'notes the continued misrepresentation of the economic facts about Germany and the other euro countries by the No campaign, such as the wholly erroneous claim that German unemployment has risen every month except one since the introduction of the euro, when in fact it has fallen on 22 seperate occasions in that period; further notes that the euro has led to an increase in trade and share of foreign investment into Germany since its introduction; and calls upon the Noo campaign to abandon its use of discredited Saatchi and Saatchi slogans and instead engage in an honest debate about the benefits of being part of the euro and the risks of staying isolated from it.'
