POLICE NUMBERS IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING

That this House welcomes the announcement of 15 new police officers for the London Borough of Havering; acknowledges, however, that Havering Police have been woefully understaffed for many years; notes that Barking and Dagenham is to receive an increase of 33 officers and Newham, a 43 officer increase; and calls on the Metropolitan Police Authority to reassess the distribution of new officers and give Havering a fair level of police cover compared to the rest of Greater London.
