That this House expresses its disappointment that Bank of Scotland has decided to close the Glasgow Pollokshields Branch on Albert Drive; notes that this is part of a worrying wider pattern of local branch closures across Scotland; further notes the concerns local communities and businesses have about the lack of access to cash; understands that the decision to close the branch follows two serious fires on Albert Drive in recent years which have impacted upon footfall on the street; believes that the closure of the Pollokshields branch could hamper the regeneration of Albert Drive; and urges Bank of Scotland to reconsider the closure of this branch.
