PROCUREMENT OF GOVERNMENT CARS

Motion Text

That this House notes the number of cars run by Government departments and the Government Car and Despatch Agency which are built abroad; recognises the need to support British manufacturing and promote the car industry; believes that the Government should take a lead in this area by ensuring that all vehicles purchased by the Government for use by Ministers and officials should be built in the UK; and urges that such a policy be introduced as soon as possible.
