Publication of Legal Advice on Local Government Reorganisation

Motion Text

That an humble Address be presented to His Majesty, that he will be graciously pleased to give directions that there be laid before this House the legal advice received by His Majesty's Government relating to the lawfulness and legal robustness of the local government reorganisation programme, including the decisions made in March 2026 in respect of Essex, Hampshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and the subsequent withdrawal of those decisions.
