RESTRICTIONS ON MORDECHAI VANUNU

Motion Text

That this House is deeply concerned by the continued restrictions upon Mordechai Vanunu's personal freedom; notes with alarm the decision of the Israeli authorities to charge him on 21 counts of speaking or meeting with foreigners, alleged violations of the restrictions imposed upon him on his release from prison on 21st April 2004; and calls on the Government to urge the Israeli authorities to drop the charges and the court case due to be held on 15th January 2006 and to lift all restrictions on his movements and activities and allow him to exercise his right to leave Israel without further delay.
