Review of HS2 works in the Chilterns

Motion Text

That this House calls for a review into the work on High Speed Rail 2 in the Chilterns; notes the concerns of Buckinghamshire residents, the Chiltern Society and local environmental groups about the potential damage caused to the chalk aquifer and the River Chess and Misbourne; expresses concern about the potential environmental impact on local drinking water and to the chalk streams; believes that an independent inquiry should be conducted and made public; and calls on HS2 Ltd to act with complete transparency in response to questions from local residents and organisations about their water supply and the local environment.
