Ricky Booth, Painting and Decorating Apprentice of the Year 2026

That this House congratulates Ricky Booth on being named Apprentice of the Year at the 2026 Painting and Decorating Association Awards; commends Ricky on his success at the Scottish Painting and Decorating Association regional heat and for going on to win the overall UK-wide competition at the Premier Trophy Awards; understands that Ricky, from Drumchapel in Glasgow West, is an apprentice painter and decorator with Persimmon Homes West Scotland and a student at Glasgow Clyde College; recognises that the competition offers apprentices from across the UK the opportunity to test their painting skills against their competitors in a six-hour contest which challenges their accuracy, skill and ability to perform under pressure; notes that Ricky’s achievement reflects his talent, hard work and expertise in this trade; and wishes Ricky future success as he continues to learn and develop his skills.
