Sanctions on Iran during the covid-19 pandemic

Motion Text

That this House notes the importance of meeting the humanitarian needs of Iranian people during Covid-19; further notes the need for US sanctions on Iran to be lifted as a necessity in meeting the humanitarian needs of Iranians; is deeply concerned about the ability of Iranians to access vital medical care and by reports that that country’s hospitals are badly overstretched; and calls on the Government to use its influence to urge the US to lift sanctions on Iran and offer aid without attached preconditions.
