SCOTLAND VICTORY IN WORLD CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Motion Text

That this House congratulates skip Mr David Murdoch and the Scottish Men's Curling team upon winning the World Men's Curling Championship; recognises the scale of their achievement in securing victory, having been behind against the formidable team fielded by the host nation, Canada; believes that the manner of the victory and the spirit with which it was reached has earned the team the recognition and gratitude of the whole nation; and further believes that the continuing success of the rink, which includes two players from Lockerbie, is testament to the excellent coaching provided at the Lockerbie ice rink over the years.
