ST ANDREWS DEBATING SOCIETY EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Motion Text

That this House congratulates the University of St Andrews Debating Society on its recent success in winning the European Championships, and in particular the winning team Alex Don and Ruaraidh MacIntosh who finished first and second on the tab; notes the importance of debating at school and university as an important skill; and welcomes the work of St Andrews University Debating Society, founded in 1794, in its community outreach work and in particular with local schools.
