That this House congratulates the Bangladeshi poet and feminist Taslima Nasreen on the determination to write candidly about the position of women in Bangladesh; condemns the fatwa issued against her; and calls on the Bangladeshi Government to restore her passport and to work for the restoration of a spirit of tolerance which has been eroded by a minority of Islamic fanatics.
