The Stables country club, National Bar and Pub Awards

That this House congratulates The Stables country club on being named best in the county and a national finalist at this year’s National Bar and Pub Awards; recognises that this award is a testament to the accomplishments of The Stables' staff in the areas of food, drink, design, training, team welfare, sustainability, marketing and many others; celebrates the vital role that local pubs play in our communities as sources of employment and of socialisation; considers historic riverside inns such as The Stables, which has served the people of East Dunbartonshire since the Napoleonic Wars, to be a treasured element of our national character that is worth protecting; admires The Stables for creating a family friendly space for the community, with original dishes for patrons of all ages and deserts celebrating classics of children’s literature; and wishes The Stables good luck as it heads to the National Bar and Pub Award finals in London.
