UK CITY OF CULTURE BIDS

Motion Text

That this House expresses concern over the EU's decision to exclude five UK cities from being considered for the 2023 European Capital of Culture; notes that the UK is a member of the EU and therefore should be eligible to submit applications; and calls on the Government to request that the monies spent in preparing those bids are returned by the EU.
