UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS SAINTS WATER POLO TEAM WINS BUCS CHAMPIONSHIPS

That this House congratulates the University of St Andrews women's water polo team, Saints Water Polo, on their success in winning the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Water Polo Championship for the first time; notes their 12-7 victory over the reigning champions Durham University in Nottingham; recognises the commitment of coaches Ian MacCallum and Alison Rintoul and the team comprising Alex Maher, Amelia Fletcher, Rebekah Kaufman, Nicola Thomson, Brynn Walsh, Rhiannon Macleod, Rebecca Yates, Kate Mackie, Ruby Versfeld, Caitlin Donnelly, Meg Hedrick, man of the match and top goal scorer Kimberly Watson, Laura Jimenez and reserves Elle Futernick, Meera Weerasinghe and Ruby Brown; commends the effort shown by Saints Sport and the University of St Andrews to developing the sport of water polo; and wishes the team continued success.
