UNIVERSITY OF St ANDREWS TOP FOR STUDENT SATISFACTION IN GUARDIAN UNIVERSITY GUIDE 2020

Motion Text

That this House congratulates the University of St Andrews, Principal and Vice-Chancellor Sally Mapstone, staff and students, on being awarded an unprecedented second place only to Cambridge in the Guardian University Guide 2020 in recognition of its high scores for student satisfaction, graduate employment and the quality of its academic programmes; notes that St Andrews was, for the first time, ranked higher than Oxford University; recognises that St Andrews academic schools performed strongly with the University ranking top in the UK for six subjects: Classics, International Relations, History of Art, Geography, Economics and Physics; and commends all academic and professional services staff, students, alumni and supporters for their continued commitment to the success of the University.
