WAID ACADEMY STUDENTS WIN AT UK SPACE DESIGN COMPETITION 2019

Motion Text

That this House congratulates the eleven S5/6 pupils from the Waid Academy, Anstruther, who took part in the UK Space Design competition 2019 final at Imperial College, London on 16 and 17 March 2019 with support from their teacher Mr Josh Anderson; notes that four members of the winning company from Waid Academy have been selected to represent the UK at the International Space Settlement Design Competition at the Kennedy Space Center, Houston in July 2019; recognises that Waid Academy was the only Scottish secondary school in the final, this being the third year that Waid students have been in the final, were part of the winning company and had students selected to go to Houston; and wishes the students best of luck in their future studies and in the upcoming International Space Settlement Design Competition.
