WELSH HEARTS CALONNAU CYMRU

Motion Text

That this House commends the hard work of Welsh Hearts Calonnau Cymru for placing defibrillators in communities and delivering CPR and defibrillator training in Wales; notes that cardiovascular disease accounts for a third of all deaths in Wales, where the death rate is higher than in the majority of countries in western Europe; recognises that Welsh Hearts Calonnau Cymru has in the last five years placed 863 defibrillators in Welsh communities, trained 31,169 people in performing CPR and using defibrillators and screened 1,400 people for potential heart disease; and supports the vision of Welsh Hearts Calonnau Cymru for a Wales where nobody dies prematurely from heart disease.
