Motion Text

That this House welcomes the launch of the Westmorland Gazette's Annual Business and Tourism Awards 2012; notes that with over 120 entries in 2011 and 11 categories ranging from Green Business Award and Hotel of the Year and the ultimate prize, Business of the Year, the awards have become one of the premier events in the North West business calendar; believes that celebrating local businesses is a great way to promote success and boost the local economy; and encourages local businesses in the South Lakes, Eden, Furness, North Lancashire and North Yorkshire to enter before 30 July 2012.
