YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE ARMED FORCES

Motion Text

That this House welcomes proposals to increase the school leaving age to 18 years; regrets the current practice of recruiting 16-year-olds into the armed forces; and urges the Government to defer enlistment of young people until after their 18th birthday.
