ZEBRAS IN KENYA

Motion Text

That this House expresses grave concern at the effects of recent outbreaks of anthrax on the populations of the Grevy's zebras in Kenya; notes that many zebras have died and that the species is reported to lie on the brink of extinction; commends the African Wildlife Foundation for its efforts in attempting to stop the disease by issuing vaccinations to zebras and working to keep those infected animals isolated from predators; and hopes to draw more attention to the problem to raise awareness and resources to stop this deadly disease from eliminating the zebra, which remains an endangered species.
