Green MP Hannah Spencer has rightly highlighted the unacceptability of MPs drinking alcohol whilst at work and before voting on issues that affect the country. Moreover, the alcohol consumed on the Westminster campus is subsidised by taxpayers. No other workplace would permit this behaviour and anyone in another job would be sacked for working whilst under the influence of alcohol. This practice must stop. MPs are able to drink at their own expense when not working as the rest of us do.
