Ban fossil fuel advertising

Background

I would like Parliament to ban ads for fossil fuel and high-carbon products to lower consumption and make companies focus on sustainable alternatives.

Additional details

We believe the climate crisis is a direct threat to global biodiversity and the well-being of future generations. Beyond the environmental impact, the WHO estimates air pollution is responsible for around 7 million premature deaths annually around the World. We must stop allowing the fossil fuel industry to mask its impact through advertising and portraying themselves as eco-friendly while they are not. We believe removing these influence channels could be a critical step in protecting public health and meeting our climate goals.
