Ban puppy yoga, puppy Pilates and other “puppy cuddle therapy”

Background

We call for a ban on puppy yoga, puppy Pilates and other “puppy cuddle therapy” to help in bringing an end to an alarming rise in the number of businesses offering alternative therapy classes which use puppies as part of their sessions.

Additional details

We believe that puppies as young as 8-weeks-old are being exploited for needless gimmicks by businesses. In our view, using puppies when they are at their most impressionable, placed in an unnatural environment where they are continually handled by strangers and are expected to perform hour after hour to entertain paying customers, is done without regard for their safety, their well-being, or recognition of the emotional damage being caused.
