Ban surface dressing as a method of road repair

Background

In our view, our roads are in an appalling state of repair but we do not believe that the practice of Surface Dressing is the solution. We think it’s a dangerous solution for all road users, especially motorcyclists and cyclists. I call on the government to ban this method of road repair.

Additional details

As a motorcyclist myself, I believe that Surface Dressing is not conducive to a safe method of passage for motorcyclists or cyclists, even at 20mph. In my experience roads which have been surface dressed are akin to sheet ice.
