Change child maintenance liability so it's not based on income

Background

We think there should be set a minimum Child Maintenance which is minimum amount needed for child care eg. £100 a week. Where a child is cared by single parent the other should pay 50% of this amount. Being jailed or student should not be exempt from liability - like with a joint mortgage.

Additional details

Child rising costs are high. No parent should be exempt from participating. Joint mortgage is shared responsibility regardless if couple split, child maintenance should have the same principle. The wellbeing of the child, human life should have priority over property in UK.
