Create a compensation scheme for all Gender Recognition cert costs

Background

We want for the Government to create a compensation scheme that is designed to reimburse all GRC holders. This would include reimbursement for both the GRC application fee itself and any solicitors/legal fees or doctors letters fees (so long as they can provide or obtain receipts).

Additional details

We feel that the Supreme Court ruling has made life tougher for trans people, and has devalued the benefits of having a GRC to a noticeable level. Because of this we are asking the Government to create a scheme to re-imburse all costs relating to getting one as we think the benefits of having one have materially decreased. We also ask that a successful applicant would not be asked to surrender their GRC on the basis of a successful application for reimbursement.
