Create a national plan to protect pets and livestock during emergency disasters.

Background

I ask the Government to create a UK-based animal emergency response plan. This should include national guidance to protecting pets, farm animals and wildlife during emergencies, and create a helpline for animals specifically.

Additional details

During floods, fires and other natural disasters people are often helped to safety, but animals are generally left behind in the struggle of nature. We all love our pets and farm animals, and they play a great part in our lives, so why aren’t we helping them?. I think animals should have as much help as humans and that communities, emergency services, local authorities and anyone in general should have clear plans in place and know how to help, don’t you?
