Establishment of Minimum Standards for Student Housing

Background

We want the government to establish minimum criteria for student houses for landlords to rent them. We think this should include councils investigating all student properties before tenants move in. Properties that do not meet the criteria should not be rented.

Additional details

In our view, it is a national problem that students face everyday. We think it has had detrimental mental and physical health impacts for young people and landlords continue to make extensive profit from the issue.
