Fund guaranteed paid community work shifts via Jobcentres

Background

Fund a voluntary Community Works Guarantee allowing Jobcentres to offer paid shifts tackling community needs such as cleaning and maintenance.

Additional details

We think that such shifts should not require qualifications or experience, letting unemployed people just turn up and work. They would be paid the National Living Wage and would get the chance to build a CV and boost wellbeing. We also think it would help councils, while protecting benefits for those unable to work.
