We ask the UK Government to assess reported human rights and humanitarian concerns in Azad Kashmir and raise them with Pakistan. Reports from people with family ties include food shortages, communication and internet disruptions, and protests about living conditions and rights. We ask the Government to assess the situation, seek information on reported restrictions, raise concerns about civilian welfare and rights, support access to essential goods and free expression, and update Parliament on any action taken. We believe civilians should have access to food, communication, and peaceful protest rights, and ask the Government to monitor and respond appropriately.
