Increase minimum sentences for gun-related crimes

Background

We urge the Government to increase minimum sentences for all gun-related crimes, including the possession and use of illegal firearms. We want tougher laws to deter gun violence and ensure those who use guns face serious consequences.

Additional details

We are concerned about gun crime and that the justice system is not doing enough to prevent it. We feel current sentencing laws for gun offences are too lenient. We are calling for harsher penalties for possession and use of illegal firearms from the Government to protect lives, support victims and send a clear message that gun violence will not be tolerated in the UK.
