Leads On = Show Respect: Protect Dogs and Owners

Background

Too many dogs and owners face stress, fear, or injury from uncontrolled off-lead dogs. This petition calls for responsible dog ownership and greater use of leads in shared public spaces. Your dog’s freedom shouldn’t cost another dog’s safety. Leads on = Show Respect.

Additional details

We are calling for: * Stronger enforcement of existing dog control laws in public spaces. * Clearer guidance promoting lead use in shared public areas. * Increased public awareness that approaching dogs without consent is unacceptable. * More designated off-lead exercise areas where dogs can run safely without affecting others. * A culture of respect between dog owners, walkers, families, and vulnerable animals.
