Remove VAT on all school uniform up to age 18

Background

We would like VAT charges to be removed on all school uniform items as part of a general move by our government to make uniforms more affordable for families.

Additional details

Even though a child may be taller or larger sized, they are still a child. We think that therefore all school uniforms for students up to the age of 18 should be VAT free. We believe that charging more for bigger sizes is discriminatory and not fair on families.
