Require 3-month SEN school placements for all trainee teachers

Background

I want the Government to require all trainee teachers to complete a 3-month placement in Special Educational Needs schools so they can understand neurodiverse children, learn strategies to support them, and ensure every child can thrive in mainstream education.

Additional details

There are concerns that some children may be unfairly discriminated against, permanently excluded and receive no staff support. We believe no child should be labelled “naughty” for needing help, and that every child deserves understanding, support, and the chance to thrive in school.
