Require employers pay employees in full when they're off for cancer treatment

Background

We think employees should be entitled to full pay whilst going though cancer treatment. We want to help anybody going though cancer treatment, regardless of which type.

Additional details

Cancer treatment has a big effect on the body and patients can take months to recover. It not currently a legal requirement for them to get full pay. We are concerned that the lack of full pay can cause extra stress to patients and might force them to go to work after treatment. We feel that statutory sick pay isn't enough. The law needs to change to stop extra stress to cancer patients and their families.
