Stop MP's Consuming Alcohol At Work (& Remove Alcohol Subsidy)

Background

We want to stop MPs drinking alcohol during their working day, and to remove all subsidies on alcohol sales in the many bars inside the Houses of Parliament. In addition we want to remove the option to claim for alcohol as a legitimate expense on MPs expenses claims.

Members of Parliament can drink alcohol in the Houses of Parliament at 6 bars. After work as a way to unwind, fine, however it is common for MPs to drink alcohol during their working day, then go vote on matters affecting us all. This isn't right. The same rules should apply for our elected officials as we ourselves are held to, no alcohol at work, if you want a drink after work, you have to pay for it yourself out of your salary, not expenses, and not subsidised by your employer either.
