UK public want alcohol consumption banned until Parliament concluded business

Background

Make it a requirement that all MPs abstain from drinking alcohol while parliament is in session. They should only be allowed to consume alcohol after the days business has concluded. No drinking on the job! Thank you to the Green Party representative for bringing this to our attention.

Hannah Spencer MP raised a very valid concern, not only about the subsidies granted to MPs which should be dealt with outwith this petition, that MP’s taking important decisions on the UK’s behalf are potentially under the influence of alcohol. Across the country it is not allowed due to employers duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act. We the people, as your employer, want ensure you make sound decisions on our behalf and want to change the policy that allows this practice.
