To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if she will amend building regulations to allow new homes to be built with openable sash windows.

Rushanara AliWhilst there could be some situations where, for safety reasons, designers may choose to restrict window opening, the Building Regulations do not preclude the inclusion of openable sash windows in new homes.
