To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if she will make it her policy to require full planning permission to convert commercial premises for residential use.

Matthew PennycookThe government recognises that there has been criticism of some of the homes delivered under permitted development rights for change of use. We continue to keep permitted development rights under review.
