To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, by how much and what proportion the Government has decreased public sector building emissions since 2010.

Answer

Graham Stuart

Greenhouse gas emissions from public sector buildings in the UK in 2021 were 21% (2.0 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent) lower than in 2010. This estimate includes emissions directly from the combustion of fuels within buildings but not emissions from the supply of the fuels and electricity used in buildings.
