To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether the Financial Conduct Authority plans to (a) investigate and (b) report on whether all firms’ (i) flood and (ii) storm definitions comply with the Consumer Duty.

Lucy RigbyThis is a matter for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) which is operationally independent from government. The FCA will respond to the Member by letter, and a copy of this letter will be placed in the Library of the House of Commons.
