To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what estimate his Department has made of the administrative cost per year of (a) valuing and (b) collecting the Council Tax surcharge.

Alison McGovernThe Government has set out, in its guidance, that it will carry out a new burdens assessment to ensure local authorities are fully funded for these costs.
