To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, if he will hold discussions with technology firms on the costs of compliance with data protection regulations.

Chris BryantYes, we have and we will continue to do so. The Data (Use and Access) Bill includes provisions that are designed to simplify the data protection legislation for organisations, while maintaining high standards of protection.
